Galvanic

At Prada Plates, we can perform galvanic techniques to cover products and manufactured goods.

We can do various galvanic treatments:

Anodizing

Anodizing

Anodizing, or anodic oxidation, is an irreversible electrochemical process forming a protective film of aluminum oxide on the treated product’s surface. A transformation of the surface occurs in the anodized material: the so-called bare-metal carries out a reaction stimulated by oxygen during the electrodeposition process, at the end of which the formation of aluminum oxide takes place.

Scope:

  • To increase the hardness of the surface of the material
  • To protect from corrosion by atmospheric agents
  • To improve resistance to corrosion and usury
  • To thermally insulate

Passivation

Passivation

The ‘passivation’ is a form of protection that allows the metal not to be superficially attacked by substances present in the atmosphere while maintaining its electrical conductivity on the surface unaltered. Passivation, while retaining the conductivity of aluminum, is widely used in the electronics industry, creating an excellent substrate for painting. It allows chemical protection and perfect anchoring of the paint.

Aluminum Coloration

Aluminum Coloration

The coloring of aluminum involves exposing the desired products to treatment to renew them according to the customer’s needs.

Chemical Engraving

Chemical Engraving

Chemical engraving is the only treatment that allows symbols on plates to remain legible, resisting over time to:

  • All types of solutions, including acid, salt, etc.
  • Any stress and rubbing
  • Atmospheric agents
  • Detergents
  • Solvents
